The Bicaz River (''Békás-patak'' in Hungarian) is a tributary of the Bistriţa River in Romania. It starts at junction of headwaters Veleşchia and Hăghimaş in the Lacul Roşu (Lacul Rosu). The Romanian name derives from the Hungarian name, which means literally frog-rivulet (hun.: béka = frog).
